The city of Charlotte has four statues on the corners of the main square of the city, the corners of Trade Street and Tryon Street. This figure, of a railroad builder, represents Transportation. Other statues Future, in which a woman holds a child, Commerce, symbolized by a gold miner spilling money on the head of a banker, and Industry, represented by a mill worker in a bonnet. American sculptor Raymond Kaskey created the four public art statues. The Coca-Cola bottle was temporarily displayed near the statue during the annual Food Lion Speed Street festival, which takes place each May for the Coca-Cola Classic NASCAR race at Lowe's Motor Speedway in nearby Concord.
