An Art-O-Mat machine, a retired cigarette vending machines that have been converted to vend art, sits on display at the historic Cabarrus courthouse. There are over 90 active machines in various locations throughout the country. The Arts Council curates five galleries on the first floor of the 1876 historic Cabarrus courthouse.  The Galleries display works by regional and national artists working in a variety of media.
