This statue on Charlotte's Trade and Tryon streets Square is one of four standing on each corner of the intersection. The sculptures were created by artist Raymond Kaskey and are titled "Transportation," "Future," "Commerce," and "Industry." This statue, Transportation, is symbolized by a railroad worker holding a hammer in his hand.
